Our Business' Story by Our Owner

I was raised on a ranch in South Florida, which always included a minimum of 4-5 dogs at a time. Naturally, I developed a strong bond with these animals. In 1988, I began breeding Samoyeds (Sammy's), which I continued doing over the course of the next 15 years. For the fifteen years following that, I owned a number of different breeds, including mastiffs, Siberian huskies, and others, but felt as if there was a void in my life in terms of my relationship with dogs.

As it turns out, I just missed breeding them, as I gained so much love and self gratification doing so on so many levels. Given the fact that I'm older now, I decided that rather than being involved in raising and breeding working-class dogs, I would instead find what I believed would be among the most loving, devoted, family-oriented breeds out there. One that was relatively low maintenance and that pretty much any pet owner could care for. I spent the next several months researching the topic, meeting many breeds along the way, I might add, until one day I came upon the Dachshund breed. It was at that moment that I knew I had found the breed I was looking for.

There is not enough that can be said about this truly incredible and wonderful breed. Of the 15 or so breeds I've owned and raised over the years, Dachshunds are among the most loving, devoted, and fearless dogs that I have been blessed to be involved with. Over the next two months after having discovered the Dachshunds, I searched nationwide to find what I believed would be the perfect pair. After finding the three puppies I believed to be the ones," we embarked on a 5100-mile road trip, covering more states than I could keep track of in order to get these puppies from three different states. We did so over the course of five days. Needless to say, it was quite an adventure.

I am a strong believer that the dogs that I breed should be raised together from the time they are puppies in order to develop lifelong bonds. Other breeders may disagree with me but based upon my years of experience with dogs I just feel it's the right way to go about it. In choosing the puppies we were going to raise and breed we put all of our emphasis on they're genetic health, temperaments, and overall well being. While raising them the focus was on they're nutrition (diet), socialization, and giving them as much love as is humanly possible. We cook fresh chicken and beef seven days a week along with rice and vegetables which serves as they're primary diet. We supplement it with the best dry food on the market. We dont consider our Dachshunds spoiled but instead feel as if nutrition is one of the most important factors when breeding dogs.

Now that we are at the breeding stage with our Dachshunds turning one year old soon we know that we have made the right decisions and choices along the way. Enough can not be said about this truly special breed as any Dachshund owner will tell you. The amount of love that these animals possess is nothing short of incredible. Make no mistake about it, the fact that dog spelled backwards is God is no coincidence. We are firm believers that dogs were among one of Gods most precious/special creations as He blessed us with them so as to serve as a constant reminder of h4ow He intended us to be. Giving of ourselves and our love unconditionally to others just as dogs do.
