Puppy Scammers and The Red Flags To Look Out For

Unfortunately, puppy scamming is one of the harsh realities in the breeding business. This takes place on both local as well as international ring levels. Here are some red flags to look out for when shopping for a new puppy:

  1. Pictures of beautiful puppies that are very reasonably priced. Usually $1,200 or less.
  2. Communication solely through texting and emails by the seller. No phone conversations.
  3. Insist upon shipping the puppy.
  4. Asked for payments prior to seeing the puppy.

If you believe that you are potentially dealing with a puppy scammer, you should report them immediately. Google the topic and they will direct you as to where to report them.
